I'm surprised your wife didn't throw in a well placed "bless your heart" to the guy....

 

Wow, a "driver" just gets his CDL, and expects the world to stop for him. When the dispatchers, customer service reps, safety guy (or gal), and terminal manager fail to fall prostate before him and his wife, and stop all revenue related activities so they can answer his questions, well, his feelings get hurt, apparently.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for that attitude. Seems like just another example of the "entitlement" frame of mind that is so rampant today.

OK, maybe I am just a crusty old feck, but all these complaints by people who have never had a truck driving job just makes me shake my head. God help them when/if they finally do get in a truck and have to put up with all the crap that goes with the job. For just ONE thing, don't like being ignored? Don't go to any shippers or receivers, LOL.

 

I think all he was looking for was some common courtesy, which seemed to be lacking at that Knight location. If they have the banners up, looking for drivers, and then ignore a potential employee, and don't answer his questions, why would they think anyone would want to hire on there?

I've had some real good dispatchers so im not going to talk down about them in general.But the night dispatcher I have don't have a single clue about hrs and what its like out here.We just don't see eye to eye and its becoming a daily thing.
