hey Carolina Thunder you sometimes call prime and see if they got a driverr coming into your area and see if they can route him back to springfield. that way you can hop a rid with him or her and cost nothing.. i have had a few friends do that with hirshback and another that went to omaho with cornhusker before they got rid of all there company drivers..
Time for Prime.....

S&L when we going to see a picture of that freightshaker you are driving?
-
-
is that a eaton vorad system you got on there? #### i hate them things. but they work
-
Yep....we got VORAD....we also have a Lane Departure System that lets you know when you cross the white/yellow lines....very helpful Safety wise...but can be a pain in the ***. We also have Intelli-Cruise....which can be a MAJOR pain.....especially when someone comes over in front of you too early after passing you...cause it slows you down if you don't put your foot on the pedal.

Very nice tractor S&L. What year is it and how many years did you go on the lease. I hope to meet you and the better half in Springfield some day soon.

Well I have officially decided to take the plunge! I start driver training with Prime on 1/14/2008. Again I just wanted to extend my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you. You have played a tremendous role in my decision to train with Prime. I wish you all well in the future and maybe I will see you down the road.
Chris -
I will be there for orientation Wednesday. Not looking forward to a 15hr bus ride. Hopefully they stick me with a clean trainer.
-
I am jealous of you guys taking the plunge. I need to put a few thousand more in the bank to cover my bills while I'm in training.
How long is it till you have a positive cash flow? The recruiter said they loan you 240 a week for four weeks, but that won't cover much, and you have to repay it. Do you have to take that money? I don't want to start out in debt to them. -
No Higgins, you don't. And after you get your CDL training out of the way....Approx 5 wks....you will start getting paid for every dispatched mile to the truck....with a GUARANTEE of $600wk. You can do better...but never worse...as long as you are available for dispatch for the week.
Alamosa14....When I got it it had 44 miles on it....It's an 07' with an 06' motor....they ordered hundreds of them like that to keep from getting the new ULSD motors until they had to. But, they're out now....so if you get a new truck after training.....you will get an 08'!! Oh, and we went with the 3yr lease.
