Any meter is better than no meter or am i wrong?

Of course an expensive analyzer is best but a standard SWR meter will get him at least in the ball park.
Sorry MsJamie........just a suggestion if he has no CB shop near by to check it.

Glad he has someone to set it up.

I think what Ms. Jamie was trying to say is Rat Shack has long been written off as selling junk radios/coax/meters, etc. But some of their stuff was alright. Yes the 21-534 meter was ok for what it is, yes it's better than the truck stop meters sold by Bar-junk, and yes most definitely better than no meter at all. Buy one, use one.

EZ Money and MsJamie Thank this.

I have a general lee, and a wilson 2k on some RG8. Good luck with the 65Watt they are telling you. I get 55 out of mine without burning it up.

My Rat Shack meter is close to my Black Cat meter, and the Para-Dynamics I used to have, but doesn't read the same as the two more expensive meters. I forget which way the error is, but it isn't off much.
