Do you want to be a trashy flat bed driver?
-
Or do you want to be a lazy door swinger?
-
I like being a barn door banger myself, after so man years of being on the chain gang it is a nice change and great to watch young bucks setting on the shoulders of the interstates fixing tarps, tightening chains and binders inches from high speed vehicles.
Or better yet, frozen winter I set in the warm cab where my view of others having to be out in it.
No more rain storms and loading
LOL all good drag what you want, I am taking a brake from the chain gang.Evil_E Thanks this. -
Flatbed, Roehl is as good as any placd to get flatbed training, thats where I started and would recomend it to anybody.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
My old man always called me an under-achiever anyway, so I'll take lazy door swinger any day of the week instead of climbing all over something you have to spread tarps over. And just when you think you have beaten the system by getting a load that doesn't require tarps, you will be dragging chains and binders all over.
Flatbed drivers are dirty, tired, cold, wet, sore, and usually bleeding somewhere. If you want to live like that, be my guest. I'll take my lazy-door swinging arms and point and laugh at you all day.
The only advantage that flatbeds have over dry vans is that flatbed drivers usually get all the chicks. So, the real question is how often do want to show everybody how fast you can whip your CB antennas back and forth? Truck driving's greatest riddle -
flatbed is the one to pick, better opportunities later down the road.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Flatbed without question. Flatbedders eat steak & van drivers eat stale bread & peanut butter with water.
