you won't get csa points for being over weight in itself, but once they flag you for being over weight, they may pull you around for inspection and then you would get the points if they find something.
Silent Thanks this. -
Yea that's what I don't want n try to avoid because we all know how inspections go if they want to give u a violation they will find something...but I was wondering do overweight tickets go to driver or company and if not paid can they suspend my cdl?
-
Im thinking the ticket would go to the driver, but just make sure it gets paid by someone or you could get suspended and not even know about it for awhile.

Is there a way to check your csa score? I got a dot inspection a couple months ago but didn't get no tickets just a list of a couple things (windshield wiper fluid, license plate light not working) the company had to fix and send in repairs he said I wouldnt get no points or fines but idk if he was just bs'ing me
-
You can get a warning, but no fine and it goes against you CSA points.

i got an overweight ticket in forsyth ga a month or so ago. i carried 42k down to port wentworth and reloaded with what was stated as 43k. i scaled out for the 42k load, and seeing how the load was to the same point on the trailer, i left it alone. my mistake.
the load had to be more than 4k more than the paperwork stated. the load down made my gross 77500. i did not take any fuel on after the reload. hit the scale, and was sitting at 81k. ticket and a level 3. i called the boss and told him what happened and he sent the ticket to the broker lol -
You get the ticket because your the operator of the truck. I got a ticket at the scale on 40 outside of memphis for being over on axles and they wrote it out in my name. You guys seem like you pull vans so 44k is up there for a van, that's usually my limit when I've got the box as well. But if they aren't willing to pay the $10 and would rather risk the fines and points sounds like you need to do some job searching bubba!

I live in Iowa, got three tickets, one is 15 mins over on log, second is eyeglasses ,and the third one happen last fri , so it's like three weeks apart and third is a lane change, i dont think all is a moving volition ,and no points on any, how many can go before you lose the cdl thank's
-
here what i do for my scale, when i get fuel, i just use my pilot card, that way nobody out of any money , just point's, which is not your point's anyway , but the company's, and i argue over my brother about this too, i said did you buy the fuel, no, company did, well there ya go, when you buy fuel ,you get points, so basically your ripping the company off on there point's , buying stuff with them, but then most company's don't care
