I don't know to much or heard anything about that wheathauler so I can't really say for sure but wouldn't surprise me any. I'm not sure they would get to far without the right connections as most of the big elevators have their go to carriers already. I do know that pulling out of the bigger elevators the rates are always cheaper than most of the smaller elevators are.
I stay with the smaller elevators in small towns and rural areas. I have been working with those places for many years and help them out whenever they need help. I also help a lot of them with anything to do with agriculture equipment and supplies.. Flatbeds, dry vans and hoppers too. I like working with the smaller guys rather than the big mega guys, I find easier to do my job and not as many headaches either and guys coming in and cutting the rates as bad too. Most of the places I work with don't play those games and they use all the same carriers and guys who made them who they are so they all support each other and take care of each other if that makes sense as it is hard to explain sometimes when trying to type it out on the computer.

Can't cure stupid. That's why that Concordia to Okeene didn't pay well it is being used as a backhaul. I was offered a $2 loaded mile load but there was too much deadheading to make it profitable.

bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Nothing surprises me anymore in the hopper business. The big boys are in everything else why not hoppers.

8 out of the 14 elevators I haul to now have contracts with tri state.. No big name hoppers yet. But I have 2 tri state rigs parked next to me and boy I'm jealous
