Well my wife and I don't even start our training until April 8th but I asked the recruiter I've been talking to about that. He told me to expect either a Volvo 670 or Freightliner Cascadia. It sounded like 2013 models too so that's good to hear. I really don't have a preference because I know nothing about any of them but I'm just hoping we get one that doesn't have too many breakdowns. lol After reading about other peoples adventures into the truck driving world it sounds like you're better off getting a truck that already has a couple hundred thousand on it rather than a brand new one as it is "broke in" and many of the mechanical issues have already been addressed. Does this sound right to you veterans? And do any of you have preferences between the Volvo 670 or Freightliner Cascadia? Does one seem to have fewer problems than the other?

It depends on what they have available... However all their equipment is on the newer side... Still within warrantee... Not that you will need to worry about that as company drivers

i got a prostar but imma try to trade it soon for a cascadia they getting rid of all the prostars for cascadias anyways

So I'm not really concerned about what truck we get but I'm really interested in hearing about peoples opinions of the Freightliner Cascadia and the Volvo 670. Appreciate any feedback. Everything from comfort to perfomance to reliability. Thanks
