Orientation is the place where companies find out whether they WANT a driver to drive for them. They can send your butt home with no reprecutions, since you are NOT an employee.

It should also be a place for the driver to decide whether he wants to work for said company.

Any company willing to stoop this low, is not worth working for.

While I am aware of the "Company DAC" on this board.

What I would like to see on this board, is an active list of companies who abuse DAC in such a many. Just a list called "Known DAC Abusers". No need for a comment section.

Legalities probably make that a big problem though

Jezz people it's really not that big of a deal. Like i said it hapened to me about six years and two jobs ago.
I have always stateded on an app. that "I went to their orentation and decided the company was not for me". And when it ask's your reason
for leaving? I simply put " there dot rating was to high( the gentelman runing the class told all of the new hires to "Expect to be pulled into every scale you pass". Thats all i put, nothing more. And not once has it been an issue.
I know truck drivers love to complain about every thing under the sun,but you guys realy need to learn to pick your battles!
There are a hundred things that concern me more then my stupid DAC report. Mexcian drivers, The dot's ever growing power, H.O.S laws, Drivers training after only six month's on the road, etc.
I understand the dac is a tool used by a lot of companies to evaluate new hires, but i honestly don't think it plays as big of a role in getting hired as many you think.

I have a clean DAC, so no worries.

But it is a big deal, in the larger picture.

This company has "attacked" your character and work ethic. With zero consequences.

Would you sit quietly if you went to buy a car, then decided NOT to make the purchase, and the dealer entered a "bad" report on your credit? Comparing apples to apples, you failed to complete the purchase....Didn't make your payment ???? WTH ?

I work hard, I play by their silly ### rules. And because of my military background.... I expect them to play by the same rules/ethics/morals.

Any company that does not, is a P.O.S., and should be red flagged. Especially, when they have the potential to destroy a persons livelihood.

I realize that many of the things placed on a DAC will be overlooked. That's not the point. Too many companies are willing to violate the "code of ethics". Making the DAC itself, truly worthless.

Also one problem, USIS IS NOT ACCOUNTABLE, they have NO DUTY to verify the information they place on your DAC. Once "FALSE" information is there it is next to impossible to correct.
    THAT needs to be changed.
