Just wanted to know have any of you guys started a new authority after having a first one??? The reason being is that my safety rating got high and insurance is getting hard to find. I didn't really do my research and listened to everyone. If I start a new one can it be linked back, even if the two are LLC's. Please give me good info, THANKS

What are you going to do diffrent to get your score down? New authority, same person same result.
BoyWander Thanks this. -
FMCSA will require company ownership documentation with the application (state corporate certificate/articles of incorporation, stock ledger, etc). If you are a principal of the first company, they will probably reject you once the connection is made.
What you're proposing is referred to as a "chameleon carrier."rickybobby, 379exhd and landstar8891 Thank this. -
"chameleon carrier." ...Be careful...They are coming down on that too.FMCSA have been busting these guys too..You may have to put business in someone elses name. Here again, they are coming down on that too..Big Brother wants everyone on Welfare...good luck..

Google gana trucking lincoln, ne theyre oos rate for trucks is OVER 60% find out who theyre insured through and im sure they will insure you for a high price. Sorry but imo if youre getting put oos all the time quit rolling through the scales. Not sayig it wont happen but ive yet to see a level one on the shoulder of the road.

US421 North out of Wilmington, NC. DOT routinely pulls trucks off to the side and rolls out the creeper.
Same with US 74 east of Lumberton, NC. DOT sits on the eastbound side and stops trucks in the right hand travel lane where the road drops from 4 lanes to 2. They have the creeper working overtime there too.
Lots of log trucks.379exhd Thanks this. -
I see don't get around NC that much had no idea. I was speaking more along the lines of if the driver was pulled over for not using his turn signal or something like that. However knowing his MC# would help emensely in figuring out weather his truck or himself was the problem in this case...And thank you I'll remember to stay out of those areas.

You'll see them on the other side of the state as well on both US321 & US421 near Boone, NC

You can't run from your past. Not in today's day and age. Plus, you don't seem to be trying to lower your score, so it won't help you if you get new authority.
