Pride is the best truck washes IMO! You need to get the chrome piece that goes on the cab extender.

He's talking about the sleeper extension panel. Under your sleeper, u have a chrome strip with lights on it. But they make a piece to go on the back portion that goes with it and hooks to your sleeper extension faring

Stopped earlier at York,Al at a truck stop. Used tpo be clean and gave free showers. Went in for a shower....$8 now! Shower had been cleaned......last week sometime. Not impressed at all with the new owners and told them so.
How do these small t/stops expect to stay in business if they dont give a crap themselves? Wont be going back myself thats for sure.

True, but when was the last time pu went into a pilot and they had clean restrooms?? Not very often, but the drivers still pay $10-$12 for a shower and buy tons of fuel. These mom n pop places are having to charge to try to keep up. Now there was no reason for the dirty shower tho, if they charge they should make it worth the $8 you spent.

The problem nowadays is that truckers are just getting messier and more slobbish. They trash everything and ruin just about anywhere we could park (especially Walmarts) and who can blame the places for shooing drivers away. I don't want to be picking up piss bottles and McDonald's garbage off my lot.

 

I buy 95% of my fuel at J's and Pilots. For the most part the showers are very clean, and the restrooms are ok most of the time.
Petro's are nicer, but the price of their fuel reflects that, so I dont get to shower there too often.
This place used to be nice, but not anymore. It went downhill a LONG way since my last visit. Even the womens restroom was "out of order" according to the sign I noticed when I walked past it on my way to the shower.
I personally think the problem is in the types of folks that are buying the indy truck stops. Most have towels, and not only in their showers...
