"find" a load to get you home? If Swift doesn't move hell and earth to get you home then I really know to look elsewhere as soon as I have 6 mos.
-
Luckily as L/O, I can b/t home. I just have to hope that the driver that comes for this load has a mt trailer.
jaiart Thanks this. -

Still in Hooks, TX. Finally around 10 this morning they decided to send a driver to repower this load. Only took them 14 hours from the time that they found out that I was broke down. Not that it really mattered to me since I am not going anywhere anyway. From what I heard, ECT and planners dropped the ball in PHX last night and they had to get Lancaster involved this morning. Well at least when the truck shows up, he can still relax some getting to the final. 1300 miles from here by the 6th.
Was inside with another driver watching the news, and another driver just had to change the channel. He needed his basketball game. There was two other tv's that he could have changed, but he wanted the one with the comfortable chairs in front. Well, myself and the other driver, we just walked out. Ohh, after he changed the channel, he then decided to move his truck from the fuel island and park itjaiart Thanks this. -
my pickup has turned into a live load and NO reply from swift on a del window since ive got to get there by midnight on the 4th, 890mi away..
looks like im gonna mac 22 this load and let them scramble for times.. i can only drive so fast w/ 45k in the box..
it is a walmart dc delivery thats a drop, maybe ive got a larger window.. -
Well, the load has been officialy t-called here. Now when idling to charge the batteries some, the red engine light comes on. Now just hope that not on again in the morning and can drive to KW. If not, then a phone call and see what they say. Hope that not towed.

Petro in Carlisle, PA finishing a 34. Picking up at the Jonestown Terminal in the morning then off to La Vergne, TN.
New student in the truck finishes his 50 hours tomorrow. He is doing well...just the standard student learning curve. His attitude is great and he is eager to learn.
Have had 4 trainees since becoming a mentor. 3 have been very good guys that have had great attitudes. 1 had a miserable attitude and left the company within 3 weeks. He struck me as the kind of guy that will bounce from company to company for a few months and then say that truck driving sucks.
One thing I heard a long time ago that applies to almost every situation:
If you meet a jerk at breakfast time....then you meet another during lunch....and finally you meet one at dinner...
YOU ARE THE JERK.
If "every" company sucks... maybe....just maybe the problem is you.
