I have to make decent money in order to pay for your meal when we hit Hog Wild brother! LMAO
A late HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!! Very much alive and very well here, just keeping busy and also wanted to get all of my trips accounted for to complete 2012's final tallies for everything. So I promise an update very soon (adding it all up now lol). Oh, and don't let the evil jester Soundman fool you, he's been running pretty dang good too! Y'all be safe, more coming. The year is starting off great to say the least, especially after the run Soundman and I started off with. At least we got to watch the joke of a game called the Orange Bowl. And who honestly thought and bet wrong that NIU actually had a chance of beating the 'Noles, much less holding them down through the game?! Hahahahaha -
Hello again everyone, hope this finds y'all doing great! Finally getting back on to give an update on things. In a nutshell, I'm as happy as can be, though I slacked a little on my home time but, I'll make up for that later on. Just remember, I DO NOT count resets or days I take off out on the road to relax or visit with friends in my time off total.
Now for something I need to address. Gang, I honestly CANNOT tell you how our "normal" local/regional/system drivers do other than this (RANT).....
I've come across all kinds of drivers here in the last five months, all from various terminals; some go home every weekend and some every other weekend. Some are extremely happy, some are unhappy, and there's a couple who wouldn't be happy regardless. I have met guys happy to gross $950-1,100/week, and others who swear they are going to quit because that is all they're making. I've met a couple who unfortunately, are making way less than that and yet others who make more. I have even come across one (company) driver averaging almost $1,200 a week gross saying he could not live off of that. I don't know about y'all, but IMHO if you can't make things work and make ends meet making that kind of money perhaps you need to either find a different occupation or, learn to live more within your means! Anyway, the simple point I am trying to make here is that we at Heniff we have drivers just like any other company. Some will do well, others won't. The company does not work for everybody who comes to drive here for what ever reason it may be, yet for others it works well for us.
Now, with all of that said if anyone still has questions I will be more than happy to try answering them as best I can. Please just remember that I (and Soundman) run directly for Central Dispatch and usually stay out 3 to 4 weeks at a time on average, which makes it a lot easier to dispatch us to go wherever our individual loads takes us.
Now, to finally catch up on all the stuff I have been doing the last few weeks since Thanksgiving...

Coolbreeze Thanks this. -
That's a $1400 per week average over the course of a full year, and you use electronic-logs...That means you have a good job. The guys who risk their lives in the oil fields only make a little more than you do, but you don't have to feel like you're gonna die at least once every day.
Cyanide Thanks this. -
Thanks Buffalo69, I figure it more around $1,241 gross @ 2,143 hub miles weekly myself (I didn't count any bonuses into my pay either). I can live with it; that is $60k+ annually

Just putting it out there for anyone interested...
Apparently we are short about 35 to 50 drivers, primarily for the regional and O.T.R. fleets, so regardless of where you live, if you are interested (and qualified), give a call...Last edited: Jan 30, 2013

things happen for a reason, are you close to cincinnati?superior has a terminal there and they train driver's with no tank experience, and they pay by cpm. not the % mystery.
Cyanide Thanks this. -
