yeah, I think I may just hang out here till morning. I don't have to be to CAT till 9am, but was hoping to sneak in a little earlier since the place I'm delivering to 160 miles away closes at 3pm and it's on the north side of the city UGH!!!!
Where is everyone?

MJ1657, your living the high life man, seems like your always off doing something fun!
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
The truckstop at Morton is decent enough and clean. Get there before 3-4pm and there will be spaces no problem.
If you want to get right into Peoria though, shoot me a PM, we have a yard around the corner from the Cat plant where you wont get bothered.
MartinLogan76 Thanks this. -
I'm loading at the Tech Center, and I was told I could go park there if I wanted to, but I will just hang out here. It's only a 2 hour drive in the morning and I can get up early. Thanks for the offer tho!!!!
-
Ahhh OK. The tech center is West of Peoria IIRC. Been there a few times, but it's been years. Rest area is pretty close to it too.
Not a problem on the offer!

I try to live it up when I can.
I love being on the road but I sure get do do alot more fun stuff when i'm home hauling grain. Especially when the elevator is only open 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
One more week and the fun will probably come to an end. Guys get a little nervous to contract corn or beans when road restrictions can pop up at any time.SHC Thanks this. -
we haul grain sometimes where I work, the boss has 4 or 5 hopper bottoms, that he uses in the summer times...
I haven't got to do it yet though. -
Yeah, I'm going to Mossville, which is north-west of Peoria, by the engine plant. Picking up some CNC machines that they are having refurbished. Should be fun as they want them tarped but I explained that all i had was 4' drops and some throw-away plastic ones. Agent gave me the number to speak with the guy buying them and said to do what I can. We shall see how it goes. As long as weather holds out and they get me out of there, i will be delivering them 2.5hrs after i load them, so it should all be good.
