Thanks rebel. I put the ddec 2 & 3 on this forum some time ago. just last week I had codes come on & my engine warning light & stop light come on with a few codes at once. that I know is a ground problem somewhere. still searching for the culprit

    rebel127 Thanks this.

If your talking about my wiring harness, I have not. having YOU tune my e.c.m is on my list, it just keeps moving down the list. wanted to get my bull gear put in first. when that was done, then I was ready. then changed oil & got a huge amount of metal on drain plug. the shop had to redo the work. the second time around they got it right except, they were in such a hurry redoing a job, they knew they were not going to make money on, they left so much stuff, off, loose, e.t.c. after picking truck up, the first load out, I lost all my coolant, cause shop did not have hose clamp tight. then I notice oil all over engine. the big -o- ring that goes somewhere around front cam, had a 1 inch pinch cut out. had another shop re install it. can you say downtime? shop also had my fan shroud broke & pieces cut out in 4 places. down over 5 grand just in downtime. then the wire harness. engine warning light on, then engine stop. drove 100 miles. turned truck off at shop. looked at everything could not find anything. had code 44 & 23. though my truck was fine. drove home, took 10 loads & 2500 miles since & no codes, no problem. YET. I just bought a used wire harness that goes to the oil sensors for 150.00 I had my e.c.m. programmed long time ago to NOT shut down with the codes. glad I did. I know when my engine is running like it should or not. besides if a code comes up, I want to pull over & check the code & see what is. not have my truck disabled on the road, cause a loose wire, or a sensor. the last 2 weeks I had 2 full weeks of work, usually it's been 3 days or & hit or miss. hope I can have a few good weeks more to get caught back up.

I threw the harness in my side pocket. will probably keep original on for a while. the last time this happened the shop owner said he knew exactly what it was, it was a ground to the sensors. he did not have a ground with the correct ends but he made one up. this was over 1 year ago. when I asked him about it this time, he could not remember what he did. I think it is the same ground he fixed, but don't know which wire.
