9200i pulling to the right

    I am driving a 2011 international Prostar 9200i. Since it was new it has pulled to the right. It has had 4- 3 axle alignments by 3 different shops. All 10 tires are wearing perfectly, no scalloped out places no irregular wear patterns. The tractor has a slight lean to the right. There is no bouncing or shaking in front end. Looking for suggestions on a fix for this problem.

    Most shops do not adjust or properly adjust caster to help with pulls to the right. Also, do you know if your truck has a Hendrickson Steertek axle? If so cross caster adjustment is not possible to help with pulls to the right and International recommends setting the front drive to a slightly negative scrub angle to compensate for the lack of cross caster. Do you have access to the alignment measurements from when they did your truck?

    You probably need to go to a real suspension shop and let them check it out. If it is leaning to the right and pulling to the right it is most likely a simple fix. The guys at Truck Pro in Memphis TN are excellent with suspension problems like this.I would say that if the alignment was right and it was leaning like that you just need a shim or two to straighten it out.

    thanks Heavyd. I do not have the alignment measurements, it is a company truck. It has been set to a negative angle but that has not changed anything.

    Looks like the answer to your problem is let whoever owns that truck fix it. You stick to driving it .

    In a perfect world the camber should be slightly negative on the right, and slightly positive on the left. This is help fight the road crown, which is main cause behind a pull to the right. Some axles are complete opposite,(but still with-in allowable tolerance) to that and cause non-stop pulls to the right. Camber is not adjustable and is machined into the axle so some are just "born" that way. More cross caster may be needed.
