    Thanks Alan

The other bands will take you into the Ham bands its best to stay on the normal C. B. channels for talking but its fun to listen in on the other bands.

These so-called "10 Meter 'Amateur' Radios" are against the law for CB. There are NO other "bands" that can be used by CB operators without a license for that purpose. The 10 Meter band, in particular, is assigned to the international amateur radio radio service and also requires a LICENSE.

If you transmit on 10 Meters, the licensed hams WILL track you and turn you into the FCC. Contrary to a former popular belief, FCC WILL get after you for transmitting, and if you are driving for a company, a letter will be issued to THEM (your employer) informing them of your actitivities, telling them to force their drivers to stop such activity, AND to REMOVE any such
illegal radio equipment from their trucks!:biggrin_25516: A LARGE number of companies have been WARNED to stop their drivers from this practice.

    Hope this helps.
