Will 1 point on my license hurt my chances of getting back on the road? (ticket and accident. Single vehicle. no injury, totaled vehicle, rural area no one there to see it happen, ticket for unsafe speed.)

How do you find out how many points you have?
-
at the DMV

i Doubt It Very Seriously

why are you YELLING your answer. ? lol. we're not deaf or blind. lol -
With all the turnover in the trucking industry, you won't have a problem at all. In fact for some companies you are better qualified since you have a ticket/accident.
-
No, it should not

Having 1 point shouldn't be a problem. However, I would have to disagree with everyone else here. When you combine the POINT with the accident and the ticket for unsafe speed you MIGHT have a problem getting employment at any of the Better Companies, at least until the point disappears from your record.

BECAUSE I WAS IN A BAD MOOD, I GUESS

Each company you apply to will want a detailed explanation as to what happened and why. Just be straight with them during the application process and many companies will be willing to give you a shot (provided their insurance company does not have some strict prohibition against hiring drivers involved in an accident and ticketed).
