Why am I always seeing everyone talking about trucks, insurance, other companies, ect... Why aren't we talking about rates, why are cheap loads being hauled. When I bought my truck I was starting my own busness, wanting to make money. I have been watching owner opps take loads that are so cheap just because they are afraid they will not get a load. Let me clue you in, We can all stay home and make nothing. The fuel cost nothing, insurance is cheap, and the liability and stress level is low. These so called trucking companies that have brokerage firms don't haul freight as cheap as they are offering it to us, and do I need to say anything about brokers? C'MON DRIVERS STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES.

    STOP HAULING CHEAP FREIGHT!!!

Hope to hear from drivers to weigh in. Hope to be able to share some prices that we receive.

Are you kidding, they got ya by the @#$^&*... The plan is to get you all into leasing and owning the trucks. Then as you can see crunch the #s in Washington and raise the cost of everything so that you can make all the payments but make very little for yourself. Now you might say, then i will buy my truck outright and save in that way. Well, you could do that, but isn't that the same as buying yourself a job and still only making an extra 7-8 thousand dollars in intrest payments. You still need to pay yourself back for the money you paid for the tractor. These people will crunch the numbers till you work for next to nothing without walking away from the payments.

Ok, before another "cheap freight" thread goes further, at least do us all a favor.... define "cheap freight". Or is this just a matter of you don't like the market place and that someone actually may be able to haul it, profitably, cheaper than you can? There must not be too many folks hauling it too cheap, as there are a lot of truck owners that have been out here for a lot of years and are making it. And those that are losing, well, they'll be out of the way soon.

One of the reasons that alot of Drivers, even here, experience drivers and they won't admit it! they find themself's in a city on friday morning, they want to go home and home is about 500 miles. Theres nothing going that way! here comes driver that's going home for the weekend, makes a deal pulling a load going close to home, a delivery for monday that pays 75 cents a mile! He's going that way anyway and in his mind, 75 cents a mile is better than going empty! it pays a little bit for the fuel. Where i saw this scenario? right here and you can go back in the archives and find alot of drivers doing this. That's part of the answer why so much cheap freight!
