Hey all!
I'm a recent CDL school grad and Roehl is on my short list. The more I look into the 7/4 7/3 home time program the more I think it may be the way to go. Are any of you on it? Is it as consistent as they make it sound?
Other thoughts?
Thanks!

Might be slip seating between 2 trucks with 2 other drivers. As a rule it is 3 drivers between 2 trucks. You will reduce your earning potential by only being out 7 days. If your financial picture allows you to basically not work every 3rd week then it might be a good one. By not having your own solo truck you will be hauling your gear in an out every week. Not every driver has good on board house keeping. May be living with 2 pigs and end up doing all the work keeping things clean. I have done the 7/7. At the time it is what I needed but it was part time work.

Yeah, the only real downside is not making as much money as you could. BUT, if you don't have kids, or too many bills like most truck drivers, you should still make enough money to be relatively comfortable. The 7/4-7/3 is a slip seat, so unless you live close to a terminal you could spend a good hunk a month on travel between home and the terminal to go back out.

You know technoroom, I've been meaning to mention this and always forget. Every time I see your avatar, then look at your age, I keep thinking its going to say like 22, or even 32. I just don't associate Terence and Philip with 52. Not a dig, you like what you like, just funny I guess. Then again I forget how long South Park has been around too.

I love South Park; started watching it in earnest only recently, once all the seasons became available on Netflix streaming. Previously I'd seen only one or two episodes occasionally. I'd wondered how many people would get the Terrence reference...I thought it was cute that "T" could also stand for technoroom.
And as my family can attest, I'm really still just a big kid.
