Well... I have "graduated" from my initial and former company, C. R. England and have "moved up" to a new trucking company, James H. Clark & Son. This new venture should prove to be a great move for me and I am looking forward to being treated more like a human being than just another number. It will be quite different to be behind the wheel of a Kenworth.... maybe even bring some new excitement! Stay tuned as I go through the processes and get to learn the new ropes of my new employer!

I've recently seen a few of those trucks on the road. Of course they were passing me as I'm a member of the Swift White Chariot racing team.
AchioteCoyote Thanks this. -
What is their pay scale? Looking forward to reading all the info you post, good luck!

Looking forward to being able to keep some comments posted!
I don't start until Monday, March 11th, so it'll be a few days before the "meat and potatoes" can start to be written.
Stay tuned!FRG1735 Thanks this. -
Found out that they are doing the "old style" of trip completion by using the Trip Pak envelopes deposited into the boxes. They indicate that they're working on getting the ability to scan documents, but that it hasn't been of major issue. They do use electronic logs and they do use Qualcomm.

So, how was your first week?
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Well... went in on Monday, thinking I was fully hired. Started with the paperwork and safety videos, then was taken out to one of the trucks for a road test. Guy who did the evaluation indicated that he felt I needed a couple weeks with a trainer, and James H. Clark & Son didn't have the manpower to give me a trainer for a couple weeks..... so they let me go.
The thing that pissed me off is.... why didn't they do a road test the week before, so I didn't have to decline Pride Transport's offer of employment?
Nevertheless.... I called Pride Transport, spoke to them, told them what James H. Clark & Son had told me, and I am to start with Pride Transport tomorrow. -
That's not cool, well good luck @ pride
