Well they no longer approve sleepers from Select trucks. The only way to get a sleeper is by picking up a truck another guy abandoned and left Comtrak paying for. Their lease program is through Selecttrucks. You can still get trucks from there but only day cabs. The program is decent though. They require you get a 2yr/200,000 mile warranty and get new virgin rubber around the truck allwhich is included in your payment over four years. They take the monthly payment in parts weekly. You can always get your own truck.

They advertise third party leaseing agents, why can't you pick from a dealer, and have of thier agents handle the lease? Maybe I read it wrong. I will get that info from the recruiter WHEN they call

You can get a truck through whoever you want. But through Comtrak you only have to come up with like a few hundred. They use a lender in California.

the lease trucks are 1500 to 1600 a month and the lease is for 60 months with no ownership or 1500 down with ownership after 60 months if you make it..the o/o is working 6 days a week for 1500 net all the trucks come from l.a freightliner most of them have emission related issues one driver told me he had the truck for 2 weeks and wasnt able to run a load yet because of mechancial problems

Are they still charging O/Os every week to pay for their cargo insurance, and paying HHG (crow flies) miles and graduated flat rates for shorter loads? I liked the people when I had my truck there, but I hated paying $40.00 per week to cover their insurance, and their under 100 mile loads we rated as the crow flies, and with their graduated flat rate for those you could end up paying them to haul their freight. I did one of those loads to help them out, and never again would I take one. I had a very good run that paid extra because other drivers didn't want to go there, but it went right by my house.
The company would do what they said they would, and decent people, but if you did them a favor that hurt your pay, the terminal manager was not able to give you anything extra later on to make up for your loss. One thing I never understood, and never got a straight answer. I could run the same state all the time, and still always owe fuel taxes. -
Still pretty much the same but they are paying us a quarterly safety bonus now......
