Nope.
Everything at Landstar is going just fine. It is still taking some time getting used to the system and what it will take to be successful here, but I am NOT unhappy with my decision. I think I found a home. Now it is off to bed, heading out tomorrow for Tuscaloosa, Alabama.![]()

it's a whole different world when you are wholly responsible for your success or lack thereof
-
Dunno if they'll make you fill out a new one or if you can just update your info and go from there. I keep a copy of my previous application that way all I gotta do is make some copies and incorp them with the new app. Goes faster that way. -
I had mine since I faxed it in but t has since gotten lost in the move.

Hey Gaz.....Have you heard anything about Landstar cutting everybody back to 65%.....I saw it on another forum and was wondering.....you know how rumors run....just wanted to hear from someone "In the Know".
Glad to hear everything is going good! -
The percentage doesn't change much when you go from 67% of 98% to 65% of 100%.
$6.60 less to the truck per $1000 if you pencil it out. -
It makes a big difference if you go from 77.4 to 65!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Native you are correct. And while the almighty dollar is the controlling feature at the "mother ship" in Jacksonville, I do think they are smart enough to realize they will make 0 dollars if they drop their pay out that much!
That would be the death sentence of LS and I don't see them doing that. But I could be wrong, I guess we'll see.
Who are they paying 77.4% to? Those must be some REALLY OLD leases. -
Apparently out on the road, I have heard a few LS drivers crying foul that Landstar is paying new BCO's more than they pay the existing ones. They are even saying that LS has dropped their rates. I don't get it.
