Its a little crazy in the beginning adjusting to stuff but once you get settled then its clock work. You'll start going to same places, same routing and know what to expect in certain regions. Where you drop what options you'll have as far as places you've been b4 and maybe get another load at this place most times and new places. Frequent shippers/cons alot or go to one and not go again for 8 months but recognize it when you get there. You'll settle in and have time to manage other things and backing techniques. When you new it's all at once so you have alot going on but after a while it'll be only a couple things. I set goals to achieve out of days out like how many miles I want to knock out and if I get lucky with traffic and time maybe I can relay like places like Chicago and Atlanta so I can keep moving. You'll see just alot at one time.

tested out today, and hit that back down the middle. now in an 07 columbia, just right for me. Got my veterans sticker on it and am writing from inside it. Learned from my trainer that bunk rooms should really only be utilized by persons whos trucks are truely in the shop getting fixed or are there for other reasons. He said, if you have your truck in the yard, you should sleep in it and leave those bunks for peeps that need them. So this truck has the apu and it works.....like runs for one minute then kicks off, then starts back up in five minutes....lol. The mechanic said he might be able to take a look at it yet. bunk heater works great.

great info, everyone! Thanks a lot! Testing for MI CDL on 3/18 and heading for Appleton on 3/24. Hoping my experience is a good as y'all's seems to have been. Sorry goblue, but another Scarlett and Gray here [ member of TBDBITL 70 - 73, my dad was in the first Script in 1936 ]. Tough living 50 miles from A2 but if MI makes it to the final four, I'll be right beside you, cheering them on. Be great to have the NCAA trophy in the Big Ten, even if it's draped in Maize and Blue.
