Congrats GoBlue on being assigned your first truck. What brand did you get? Even though I got an older truck for my first assigned truck I was excited as all get out. Drove nothing but Freightshakers until I purchased my first Volvo.

 

I deadheaded over 300 miles once last week. sure hope things pick up

 

When I was living in MA I always had to deadhead over 100 miles, it's the way it is in the northeast. My fm was really happy when I told her I was moving to twin cities area, easy to get freight in and out.

 

This is my 2nd time bt there. 1st was Procter & Gamble didn't have empties. They made me sit for 3 hrs waiting for a available one while hurricane sandy was approaching then let me leave w/o one. When I got to the shipper there they didn't care. We pull alot of frieght for them so I don't think they care about trl shortages. They prefer it but not as strict as GP or Kraft are.

 

Deadhead miles are paid so ill deadhead anywhere no matter how far. Deadheading home is a different story. Also it's better than deadheading within city limits 20 miles when load assign says 0 empty miles

 

Well played trailer jockey for a it today. Not really, had to pick up in my hometown off wells rd in orange park.

Appt was for 1pm. Called the customer early in the morning and asked if I could get it loaded early since I live here. She goes well come up here drop the trailer in door 10 and we can call your phone when it's ready. So I did that, and went back home. Two hours later got a call that it's done, went back and picked it up. And now here I am. Be in SC tomorrow to drop n hook. Hopefully getting back under a flat real soon.

 

Still at pilot in OH, on 75. 34 turned into a 48. Pick up Sunday morning from place I delivered yesterday.

Holy @%&# i just drove thru chicago rush hour..that was not right.

At gary..deliver in defiance ohio tomorrow, then pick up a load to home.

 

You'll find that pretty much 99% of the time that is completely unnecessary. I always stop in Gary going north/west, or oak creek going south/east. Then leave early morning.
