If someone offered to buy you any truck you wanted what would you pick. Price doesn't matter but I'm not talking a tricked out truck either. Just any 2007/2008 model truck that you would drive to make a living with.

I'd go with a Western Star 4900EX with the 82" Ultra High, the base 515 Detroit, 3.58 diffs and a 13 speed. Hose it down with all the lights and a nice visor, single bunk only please (it comes with a 48" wide mattress), Bostrom Wide Ride seats and all the gauges.

Pete 386, Kenworth T660, Freightliner Cascadia, hopefully easier to work on than a Columbia, Western Star 4964FA, International 9900i Eagle. Older trucks, probably a Mack with an E-9, late model Marmon, early new style FLD 120 with high box sleeper (87-91). The Mack would be for the engine.

Transmission, Eaton Fuller anything but a 10 speed, no Rockwell-Meritor, and the only Spicer would be 4x4 or 6x4. Both of those are very rare now.

Full lockers, for running on unopened roads and farmyards, I'm used to differential lock on farm tractors and really miss it in the truck. With proper alarms to prevent inadvertent usage, it would probably save me from getting stuck at least 9 out of 10 times.

Money is no object, but reality says to "Dream On."

    A KENWORTH OF COURSE.
T660 with the 86" sleeper and every option known to man. Ultra shift with a big CAT.

25 I've only driven one truck with full lockers. And as soon as you flip the range lever into high range the second axle lock would auto disengage. Leaving the regular dif lock still locked. Full lockers are nice.
