Decided on Maverick.

Well, say goodbye to the 4's and 5's my friend! Drive it well and you will find yourself in the 7-8+ mpg range trust me.

 

Oh I don't know we have some drivers they keep it to the wood everywhere they go they can get it the the high-fives and low sixes. I just love the mentality of the faster I drive the more money I can make.

 

Yeah I love that too! Earlier this past week I loaded at the same time as another Maverick. We both had enough time to load and get all the way to the consignee the same day. We left out at the same time. He is a pedal to the floor guy, and I am a 57-58mph guy. He laughs at me because of that too. I just smile and don't say too much about it. He and I both do the load checks along the way at our own determined place/times. Both of us stop for fuel along the way ( I know him well and we communicate each day) we stopped (at different times obviously) at the same Flyin J for fuel. Traffic thru a particular city found me end up passing by him in a different lane- I waved LOL. Later on here he comes flyin past me... He arrives at consignee, parks the truck, sets the brakes, gets out of the driver seat to stand up in the sleeper to stretch his legs, looks out the windshield and sees me pulling in.... 57mph the whole way.... he beats me by just a few minutes....my mpgs for the trip over 7.... his? not so good.

 

Yes but he didn't get passed by any swifter or Warner trucks. I would say he is like Barney Oldfield. If you don't know he was a racecar driver from the 1920s who would rather crash then get passed.
