I spoke to them today and I apparently need to fill out a whole new app and she said I need my long form physical before in order to turn in the app.

I just took one two months ago but I have no chance of getting the long form from them. I took one in march to and I think I can get that long form so hopefully I won't have to go. it's no big deal but I don't want to spend the money if I don't have to

Not sure, prob start with van because I can get up and running faster but I do want to do flat. Actually I have two accounts I can get out of my area that would be great for a curtain side but I don't know if landstar loads curtains or not, then I'd have to find a trustworthy agent to take those accounts for me to run.
My father has his authority but it's inactive, i'm thinking of posting the bond to activate it but not sure if I want to get into that again.

Oh and yes that's me looking at the 93 western star. It's a one owner truck and looks pretty well taken care of. it's got the elite bunk too with fridge, sink and couch but it has a detroit turned up to like 455 and an 18 speed but the sales guy said he doesn't know if it's been overhauled but a mechanic there seems to remember that it was. He says the guy who owned it traded it on a 99 and is still a customer so I would think he'd be able to check on a reman. sounds fishy and I don't need a detroit with a million plus miles.

Both really. I was raised around 359 petes and I feel they are the best truck ever built. I'd love to find a nice one. I do also like cabovers, ya...I'm one of those weird people! But also you can get a heck of alot of truck in a very cheap cabover.
I do not want to drive as much as I would need to for a new truck. I've been at this for a long time and I have a son I'd like to see grow up a bit more than a day a week will allow.
I'm a good mechanic, old trucks don't scare me.

I had forgot Landstar requires hazmatt too. I had hazmatt on my WI license when I applied last time but when I moved to TX I didn't remew it, I wasn't prepared for the test.
It's not my week, guess I'm off to the testing station

They have some curtain side loads, but not a lot. There is nothing stopping you from hauling all the regular tarp loads you want if you can't find curtain side.

Yeah its not like you are doing any thing else this week...... since you are unemployed. :biggrin_25525:

GOOD LUCK with LS. I hope you enjoy them like I did when I was there.
