I live 80 miles from Boston, you did good!! New England outbound rates are garbage majority of the time. If you get $2/mile + you take it and bounce out of here, because more than likely you got paid well enough coming in. I've driven empty out of here more times then I would have liked because rates get so bad at times. People saying that it's not a good rate must not run New England allot. Have them run a 300 mile search from Boston and then get back to you.lol
Rates are picking up...

Its funny how when the economy is slow that no matter the company everyone seems to forget about the good freight that is still there, and focus primarily on the bad freight. To many people listen to the talking heads on the radio news and take all the the doom and gloom to heart and forget to look beyond it for the good.volvodriver01 and Walters Thank this.

I agree 100% with this. I still find good freight and my wife and I are still happy with my earnings. Thats what its all about to me. All I can do is keep plugging away and hope for the economy to bouce back one day down the road.Ranger Bob Thanks this.

It will come back, just a matter of time. Then we will all be to busy and tired at the end of the day to be spending so much time here on TTR.volvodriver01, Ranger Bob and Container Hauler Thank this.

Well i have to disagree...Syracuse to Queens NY paying $2,300 for 280 miles is ok by me.Then 1,000 from Jersey City to Albany is ok by me.I wish everyone stayed out..Big money for me and more loads..You can stick to your long haul trucking killing yourself and your equipmant...The money is in the short hop these days..HwyPrsnr Thanks this.

^^^ But they do not, thats why the rates in the northeast are so bad. Every tom, dick and harry runs up here for great money then takes what ever they can for what ever rate they can get to get back out to there good paying freight. There are still great rates in the northeast just have to know where to go. But there going by by quick as the big fleets add more trucks to the area.
