I have a 2005 387 Pete. The clutch pedal is very hard to push and has been since I owned it.
I have just installed a new easy pedal clutch, changrd out all the hardware that attaches to the
bell housing and the clutch cable is loose and not sticking.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be...can't figure it out here..everything that is involved
    has been replaced. Need Ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rick

When you grease the clutch you need to hold the pedal down, and give it about 15 pumps of grease to get the lube on the slide sleeve. Be sure the cross shafts are greased, you should be able to move the slack in the linkage easily, If not you have to find out why?
I have seen stiff pedals caused by the pedal itself, the tube rides on nylon bushings and they will sometimes get very stiff, Disconnect the linkage at the clutch arm and see if the stiffness is in the clutch or the pedal asembly.
The fix for the stiff pedal is drill a 15/64 hole in the tube, and screw in a 1/4 x20 Zert use a nut driver, and grease the tube, they take a lot to fill it and you will have to do it a few times to clean the Bushings.
    Just a thought!

Sounds to me like a bent shaft. Start by disconnecting the linkage one piece at a time, starting at clutch. After each dis-connect, try clutch for ease. You should be able to isolate the problem in this manner.

    Yep, 387....... cabel....

Ok, one more time.... there is inspection door on bellhousing. Use it to see what a hell is going on inside. I'm sure bad pressure plate. If you keep driving with this problem you gonna get broken release bearing throwing balls inside bell with expencive damage of engine flyghtwheel ore broken cabel.....

    Do inspection now!

Push the clutch in like a man. Start doing some leg presses. But, best advice is given above. I'm just trolling. :p
