HAHAHAHA this is a forum about stevens transport...i feel bad for you guys as i went through the same thing your going through at the moment and it all sounds good and fun..I want to help you guys but a large part of me wants to see how long you can stay there. lets see stevens delete this post... I started out at stevens wanting to be the best driver i could be and after 15 weeks of never getting over 2000 miles i started getting impatient. at .26c a mile and maybe 2000 miles a week do the math after cash advances came out and insurance i might see a $200 check. but just to give you my last two weeks at stevens it ended like this. 500 miles and a slew of resets sitting in the flying j parking lot of dodge city,ks. you know what i was told? I am a company driver therefor i dont have bills to pay so i can sit and wait or quit. I ended up leaving their load and their truck on the side of the highway with a few surprises inside. truck #11526 t700 trainer 1 was vance on truck 12139 and second trainer was john on truck 11886 good guys but even they want to quit. oh by the way try and find something bad about stevens somewhere on the internet..you cant cause they pay people to have it removed. I should stop now before i start raising my blood pressure. if you want .40c a mile and over 3000 miles of drop and hook pm me otherwise enjoy mcdonalds because working at stevens that will be the only thing youll afford.

I am.a company driver also and.I do not sit for long, I am.solo, do not train and my paid miles for Feb.were 12820 or 3205 a week average. I have no.idea why.you.did not.get miles, but I am.glad.you.found somewhere you are happy. I just think you are full of crap about the abandoning the truck under load, and I know you are full of crap about the internet. There are negative stories all over the internet... just google Stevens Transport, you will find thousands of links.
All that said, what works for one does.not.work for all. You probably.love.your wife or girlfriend, or.maybe even both... I may see them and find them revolting. That should not affect you or your.outlook, just as your post does not affect.me.or.my outlook.
Thanks.for sharing and have a great day..TRKRSHONEY and Corporal_Clegg Thank this. -
Treetrimmer, seems your math is off a bit. Here you are saying 3000 miles... on another thread you said you are getting 10k a month...
Like i said, glad you are happy, but no need to spread the proverbial manure. I do know for a fact that your employer checks the DAC and I know.that Stevens would destroy your DAC with an abandonment, and even more so with a load abandonment.
I know this about your employer because i know people who work there.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
10k a month cuz i take off every 21 days for 3 days and go back out. i did do it sean gannon was my driver manager and actually i had a load going out to florida that i ended up leaving. what you think stevens will do to your DAC is not correct. same goes for the loan that you have to pay if you leave but they didnt check what signature was on the paper and it got thrown out in court. you can say im full of crap all you want but we all have our experiences and opinions and mine of stevns is they suck. funny thing is ive gotten 13 ppl recruited over to crete from stevens and they have all stayed last time i checked.
-
oh one more thing i forgot stevens takes up to a full month to get your next employer your work history and by that time i was already in a truck driving and i havent been fired so i believe all is good. funny thing is there was 58 ppl in my class at stevens there was 6 at crete. whats the turnover rate at stevens? kmac

I think it points at a persons character and ethics to abandon a truck and a load on the side of the road. I don't care if it was a Stevens truck or another company's truck, a professional just wouldn't do that. Childish at best. I'm not defending Stevens, I don't drive for them. Just a quick reminder, YOU chose Stevens, they didn't come to you. Also, though you like to bad mouth the training company that got you your CDL and road experience, If it were not for Stevens you would not have your job at Crete. Your posts follow a typical script that we see here often on thetruckersreport.com, very boring.

nascarchuck, TRKRSHONEY, KMac and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well I gave them a call and they said bring it on in. So I am on their lot waiting for a door. Still have no idea of the magic that will get me to Dallas from here.

your right i did go there...mistake number 1 secondly when a company/employer doesnt look out for you and give you work so you can get paid how much does that say about the company? are they professional? it doesnt really matter though cuz i make a fat .42c a mile and cruise on down the road with not a single promblem.
edit: oh my bad i also forgot to add i ended up paying for my own test at the dmv with some stupid red truck and if you say "they let you drive their trucks in school" if your trainer falling asleep the first time you get on the highway is a school then god help us all. Good luck trying to make it at stevens but anyways im done with this conversation.
