I have an 01' Cat C-15/6NZ and i was wondering if anyone could help me find the oil pressure sensor? I just bought the truck in Sept, my first!!
I am replacing the gauges with digital and most require replacing the sensor. Up till now i have found what i needed but i can't seem to find this one. Peterbilt told me it was behind water pump but all i see in that general area is the H2O temp sensor. If anyone could help please do!!

The oil preasure sensor is in the galley of plugs about 1/2 way down the block there are six of the plugs. They line up with the middle of the cylinders.
    Just a thought!

An '01 Peterbilt uses a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I believe it taps in somewhere on the driver's side of the block. You'll need to follow the line that feeds your existing gauge to where it taps into the block, and install the sensor for your new digital gauge there.

The mechanical gauge oil line. If you pull all the plastic off to get to the firewall around the fuse box. On the floor, near the steering shaft and fuse box are 2 aluminum blocks (this is where your air pressure sensors are) the block on the left has an oil line going to the gauge. Then the oil line connects at the bottom of that block then to the engine. That's the way it was on my 1996 pete and my 2003 is the same.

The oil pressure sensor is on the drivers side, behind the engine mounted fuel filter. There is 2 sensors together, one is marked ATMOS, and the other is OIL. Older E models are on the right side.

As the above poster stated this sensor is on the drivers side of the engine on a 6NZ C-15. The Atmospheric Pressure Sensor and Oil Pressure Sensor are side by side of each other. The oil pressure sensor will be the one closest to the firewall of the truck. It is number 4 listed in this picture

I think he wants to find where the gauge in the dash gets its signal from to install a new sender for a digital gauge. Being that it's an '01 Pete, it has it's own separate tap location instead of reading off the ECM sensor. Peter built didn't start driving their gauges off the data link until '06 I believe. If he follows the hard line that feeds his dash gauge, he'll find where to install his sender.

Thank you all fr the help! It does have a manual line for the existing gauge. It just looks much different than the CAT diagram because it has a T with the ecm sensor and the line to the gauge coming out of it. At least I was in the right spot, just needed conformation. LOL
Thanks again for the helpful replies!
