Hey everyone.
I was told that many companies will pay back the tuition of a truck driving school with a tuition reimbursement program. How true is that? Specifically: can someone tell me specifics on the tuition reimbursement programs for Gordon, Knight, Swift etc.(if they have such programs)?
is this true? companies will pay back tuition?

If you want to be indentured to a company for a long time some may do it, pell grants are the way to go for free education.

You have to check each companies website. Several companies have a tuition reimbursement program. Watkins & Shepard is one of them.

The companies that have the program are not companies you want to drive for. But, you can just get your CDL, serve your time, and go else where. Though, you can get a grant in most counties without doing that.

There are companies that pay for your training you will have to sign a contract and work otr for that company for a year in most cases probably for 26 to 28 cents a mile and you will make a lot of small paychecks for the first few months so having low living expenses is a necesity . Me I went to the local community collage and charged the entire cost of the course 3000 dollars at the time then went to a small local company worked for 27 cents a mile for a year then I went to another small company for 35 cents a mile to start and was able to pay all my debts off at that point .

I think he is talking about straight reimbursement not indentured servitude.
If I am reading him he is getting his CDL on his own and asking if companies will reimburse the tuition, and yes some companies will as long as you work.for them, when you leave, obviously they stop but you will not be locked into themmichaeltrahin Thanks this. -

They will pay on it only if you're fresh out of school.
