I think it needs to go a little higher yet... just high enough where all those driving their 5 gallon per mile Ford Gargantuan down to the store to get a pack of gum, just might wake up and smell the coffee. $3 a gallon doesn't hurt bad enough yet.

I was in Needles CA on 1-1-08 and gas was 4.09. If you went over to the Pilot at X-9 AZ I-40 (just 15 miles away) it was 3.09 So if we are seeing over 4 now I would say 4.30 on memorial day weekend (just my guess).

i am hearing they are going for the $5 a gallon mark. and why not, they already pay that over seas. i wonder how this will effect car prices and especially suv prices.

I remember complaining four or five years ago, because it went up from about $1.10 to $1.24 a gallon. Now we'll never see it under $2.00 and it's starting to sound like that we're never going to see it go under $3.00 again.:biggrin_2553:
Someone needs to do something about this. Isn't that why we have the teapot dome?:biggrin_25510: Why have extra fuel in case of an emergency, and then in the advent of an emergency not be using it?:biggrin_25510:
I like Bush, and think he is the best person we can have in office for the war right now.... but as far as other stuff goes, he sucks.:biggrin_2551:

Gasoline has a relatively short shelf life and therefore is not a good candidate for long term storage. This is due to all the additives put into it.

As soon as Bush is out, by the end of 08 or begining of 09 the gas should be down to the $2.00 a gal. Bush doesn't give a rats ### because he owns oil wells, so he is making tons of money and doesn't give to sh*ts about anyone

I drive one of those Ford "Gargantuan's" you speak of. Its got a v10 in it!:biggrin_255: So that way, it has enough power to push your Yugo out of the way at the gas pump!:yes2557: Have a nice day.

What exactly do you base this claim on? George Bush is responsible for 30% to 50% of the price of a gallon of gas?

Now I have in fact, heard it all.:biggrin_25526:

Actually, I have one of those Ford Gargantuans too... a 1978 E-250 with a 300 straight six--gets about 7 gallons to the mile and has to be fueled in flight by a KC135 Stratotanker just to make it to town.

I am thinking about getting a small cc bike to run to town for that pack of gum however.
