i just left werner after a year, i worked hard but to make a decent paycheck you have to kiss some rear or just stand your ground.. i thanked werner for a chance but werner is a the last resort company
Cowboy13 Thanks this. -
exactly my point man, I bust ### and it doesn't pay off I run hard barely stop and dnt complain yet I make 350-400 a week ridiculous -
Experience pays guy. I had to go through the same thing. Trust me, I'd take going 65 over 60 any day. Just prove to your DM that you're dependable and can run 3000+ miles a week without wrecking. How many miles are you currently rolling?

Well I get the miles but I get paid .27 cents a mile I do about 2-3k a week

Sounds like you're a newbie with under 6 months experience. I started out with them in December of last 2011 at $0.26.5/mile. I got six months in, then left for Schneider. Now I'm making $0.35/CPM and this is my fifth $1100+ weekly check in a row. It will pay off, just keep your headed up.

ive talked to drivers who have been here for years and make .36 a mile I'm leavin Soon there's no advancement here and no raisespattyj Thanks this. -
i was at 31cpm after a year. plus 100 dollars of account related bonus but they cut my miles and even worse they stop giving me routes with stops(10$) and long island runs(40$) after that i thought about going owner operator but decided just to switch to a home daily company.. my average take home was 500 dollars i even saw some 380 dollars pay checks. no wonder my fleet manager was begging me to stay.

The key is to save when the getting is good. So far, loads have been picking up well. It also helps to have all your endorsements.

Seems dedicated ...and good relationship with you're DM is crucial if you want to be consistent as a company driver...location aswell too...look at those aspects ...nice equipment aswell...I have a pretty new truck...but it had 5 factory recalls ...and breakdown pay is a joke..that really hurt..do alot of research...and factor in the best situation that works for you..no one is gonna look out for you..or stand up for you...except you..and if you don't have that attitude ...plan on being a doormat ...good luck...
