Solar Panels on Trucks and Trailers

My current panels even pick up under a parking lot light in the truckstop parking lot.

 

I have had my regular solar panels on now for almost 3 and half years with no problems and I have a little over $500 in them.



But what do I know with only 3+ years experience with them actually mounted on my truck.....

Have not had a cell failure and they still put out like they did the day I bought them....so much for the 5 year replacement statement.

The new stick on panels are even more durable that you can shot it with a 50 cal weapon and not loose the panel. The newer flexiable panel technology is more durable and will collect more sun light at more of an angle than the traditional solar panels of the past even though they are bigger for the same wattage. I have a little over $300 in the 3 panels I bought of E-Bay for the roof of my condo that I have not had time to mount them yet.

FYI. I am installing a 12KW solar system for my home this summer that has tax CREDITS that payback for more than half the system....That is tax credits and if you do not understand what a TAX CREDIT is, you should fire your accountant because it is just like you already paid that much in taxes and you will get refunded the full amount not needed for your adjusted income or even no income you will get 100% of it back. I will also get paid back for all electricity produced over what I consume on my home.

My panels have been all over the country including a delivery to the new Formula One Race Track in Austin, TX.



I am glad everybody is not so narrow minded and will at least try other technology.

 

I actually moved a dry van with a lift gate on it that belonged to FEMA that had a solar panel on it to maintain the battery for the trailer lift gate that gave me the idea to mount one on the truck..FEMA may have a trailer parked for a long period of time between disasters and need it to work when it is needed. We all know what happens to batteries that sit for a long time.

There is also a company that sold some expensive and not very efficient solar systems for trucks before I mounted mine. I did not like what they sold nor the price, so I did my own with equipment bought off of Ebay.

 

It's obvious you do not have clue about the new flexiable solar panels that you can shoot a. 50 cal bullet hole in the panel that is 15.5" by 112" in size that would be a whole lot of. 50 caliber holes to take it out......remember it is flexiable and not on glass like the traditional solar panels of the past.

One shot into the middle of the peel and stick panel from a Barrett M82 will not take the panel out.
