Yes. Very easy to replace, you can do it yourself in 5 min. I am not saying that this is your problem, but you can buy that FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR on main fuel supply rail (risk $15-20) install it and see if that will make any difference. Remember to reset the code after you do that. Again, I cannot guarantee the result but this is not expensive to try. Best of luck.

well well. few weeks ago in MN after fueling truck wouldnt start for no reason. After some starting fluid and stuff it started so I took to my mechanic right away. You were right Mike. Pump was going out slowly. had a mechanical damage inside so it was replaced. No code anymore :)

I don't have a reply but rather am experiencing a problem that we haven't resolved for almost two weeks. My 2008 Volvo 780 semi truck is having problems starting- have to crank many times after it sits for more than an hour. Have had all six injector cups replaced, replaced the fuel filter and primer filter head to no avail.
Has no trouble while driving - just starting. Sometime it shakes then shuts off. Also will start if I physically prime it. Dealer says it is not the fuel pump. Still getting the code to check fuel filter. Also dealers have run multiple diagnostics but are perplexed. Any advice? Email [email protected]

well is it a d12 or d13 and what is the fuel psi when running it could be the drain valves on the head if d 12 there is two of them most of the time if d13 only one but need to know which one you can replace the valves yourself very simple.

    from 150 to 400 kpa.

Usually new pump builds 350 kpa at idle speed, but later it goes to 200-250 and it is normal. When pressure at idle is lower 150 - it is time to change pump.
