Isx 600 bearing issue

    Good info, and that explains a lot. I'm glad I only use donaldson endurance oil filters, they are a little bit more expensive but I like the peace of mind using them.

    Would sampling catch this rod bearing issue! We had one let go on a 565isx and damage crank. Had to swap out motor! Motor only had 10,000hrs on it. It was the #4 bearing.
    Was comming up on 10K hrs on my other Isx's and maybe should start looking at bottom end work as a security! Had sample done and it came back with good results! Cummins says its not a common problem, but if your the one that it happens to you out $20K!

    What kind of bearings are you using? Maybe it's a bad bearing brand. Not all bearings are created equal. Clevite are my top choice.
