I will be starting my CDL schooling in april. I asked the owner of the school if companies try to stay away from drivers or new hires with tattoos, he didnt really have an answer. So my question is, do major companies like swift, schneider, cr england, ect. have a tattoo policy? Thanks in advance for your answers.
I have a question about companies

i dont see nothing wrong with tattoos and companies may not either. How many tattoos do you have and is any of them offensive as the public would see it?Maybe to be on the safeside, when you do get a prehire from a company,go to orientation in a long sleeve shirt.Do you have any on your neck?
cgonzales/510 Thanks this. -
there are drivers with sleeves, neck, head, ear, eyelid. i don't see where it's going to be a issue.

lol long sleeves will not help me here i have them on my neck, hands and knuckles

As long as they are not offensive or profane and not covering your neck or face....I wouldn't see too much of a problem. I've got the date , place and year of when I was wounded on my upper forearm...never had any issues at all.

As long as your face isn't tatooed you'll be fine.

From what I've seen and heard, proper hygiene is far more important than just some artistic coloring of one's skin. Best wishes to you.

From what Ive seen of some of the drivers from some of the bottom feeder companies at Truck Stops, I think its required to have a neck tattoo.
kerosene jockey Thanks this.
