I've been running trucks for 13 years now 65 of them to be exact. But a broker out TQL should not be in business cause they are taking advantage of hardworking people. We delivered several loads for them on the last load the receiver claimed that there were damage. Our driver took pics and the receiver noted that he'll inspect the freight for damage. We called in to TQL and spoke to John (2 weeks ago went through training). He said that he'll get back to us and that was the last time I was able to get a hold of him. I called, emailed left messages with his colleges cause you can't leave a message when you dial his extension cause another new associate picks up the phone. Mean while our accounting department comes over and claims that they aren't paying invoices that are 30 past due because of a claim. After I sent several emails I included Chris Brown their in-house counsel with the email we were furnished with the claim in the amount of $1910. What a coincidence that the rate was $2100 but here comes the best part. They don't have pics and receiver fixed and restocked the product so we can't send our adjuster out there to inspect it. We paid the fuel, driver, truck payment, trailer payment and insurance while they took our freight rate and deducted it from our settlement.
Trucks out there is you see TQL on your paperwork remember they are scummy as they come. Their management is unethical so it goes down. I personally know 15 trucking companies that won't touch their freight because of tactics such as these they use preying on carriers. It's very easy to enter a load in the system and email/fax load conf but actually having to deal with driver, fuel prices, CSA scores etc... is not. They are not truckers as they advertise they are PAPER PUSHER....

CH used to be like that till they got hit with a class action now they reasonably.

You are totally right. This is the most horrible company that I've dealt with.
I got jacked in a rate hauling watermelons for them out of Florida, since then, I haven't hauled a single load. Last load I've done for them was back jun-2011.
Their strategies are dirty, nasty and unethical. If you been working with them, soon or later you will find out that truth.
This broker that I've talked with, was mocking and disrespecting me. They feel they still in college playing games around their dorms.
Typically if they have a load in Indy, they will post in WV, OH, IL...its the bait. Then you call, you got the bait, they talk fast and push you to do their junk.

Everytime I post my truck I can see that TQL calling, I don't even take the call, when I take, I ask at least 1/mile more and get prepared to find something else with other broker because I know they will try to jack me off if they find sombeody to haul that for cheaper.

TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT is what TQL is about.

If you want to get fooled by a bunch of recent grad college kids that never seen a brokerage operation, don't know how hard is get this business moving, get a load with Total Quality Logistics.
Those kids book the load with you, later call the "Sr" or the "responsible" for that load to try to do jack you or coming with stupid excuses. This is a cancer in our industry and business. TQL shall be put out of business, if depend on my business, they are out. DO the same yourself; say NO to TQL; have some respect for you and your business.

This is the TQL trainning sheet for their college recent grads that call you on the phone asking "what kind of rate would you need to move this..."; they instruct the kids calling you on your posted truck to:

0.80 CENTS PER MILE: is just enough for that junk trucker fill up his tank and get to a area where he can find another "good" one for $1/miles; that's what truckers deserve. Never offer more than $1/mile, they don't deserve.

REASONABLE RATES: it's the rate that makes TQL maximum, trucker minimum.

TONU (truck ordered not Used) :
never will pay. If they got there and nothing to load, their problem. too bad.. Who cares...

Dock Detention: you got to be kidding... TRUCKERS ARE NOT PEOPLE, THEY SIT AND WAIT!!! WHO CARES?!!! LOAD IS DELIVERED, WHO CARES!!

They are the worst broker and I refuse to do any further business with them. I suggest everyone else do the same. Anytime they call me looking for a truck, my rate is $1000 on top of what my healthy mileage rate is.

File suit against them that always gets people attention instead of talking.
I only call tql if I've sat for like a week and nothing is happening and it usually still isn't happening after talking to them.
I don't like their business practices of wasting loadboard space with the same load posted in 5 different cities.
I tell them everytime I call them they're my last choice of any broker except LS cql.

I wish all good luck when dealing with TQL. We had all we could take a year ago and said the heck with them. They call all the time and we take a call now and then just to give them a rate of 2.50 a mile or more. I have had 3 agents this year tell me that on flatbed they now require $250,000 cargo on all loads, told them to call Keen or the bigger compains cause hardly no independents have more than $100,000. They just making sure that we don't have to move any of their loads now.

My main opinion of TQL is they suck. But I moved a load yesterday for them at 2.84 a mile and the agent was ok.
I think the only reason he paid that much was I told him landstar had the load for 2.84 a mile, I'd booked the load with Ls but this agent didn't speak
good english and I couldn't understand him and he's stupid to boot.
