I like it a lot, and the physical is VERY extensive. They bring in some people from a physical therapy office. Make sure you follow their directions EXACTLY.

I worked for Maverick about 5 years ago. As a former driver for them. I would recommend them. They treated me well the trucks were autos and the newer trucks have a battery unit to run the ac/heat. The only reason I left was I got a local fuel hauling job.

Cowboy, I would still recommend that you strongly consider going out with a trainer for at least a week or so to be exposed to some of the loads in a real-world enviroment. You will probably be very glad that you did...

I applied to Maverick last week, they are processing my app. I should hear later this week what they have to say. They say after training and getting my own truck I will get .33 mi, after 3mos .36 mi, after 6mos .42mi. Werner said I would start at .25mi with .01 increases every couple of months till I hit .29mi at the end of a year. I have my fingers crossed cause I'd like to start with Maverick ASAP!

Yea that's correct and .25 cents at werner......screw that noise. You'll probably make more in training at maverick than you will solo at werner haha.

I own a small flatbed company (2 trucks) and am finding it extremely hard to find drivers. I give my drivers the option of starting at .40 or 20% of truck's gross revenue. If anyone knows of someone needing a job in the Arkansas area please let me know.

deblu, how long did it take Maverick to process your app? And how soon after that did they schedule you for Little Rock?

About a week to call me and about 2 days today's to hear back from employers etc. it all depends on how quickly they get everything. A guy in my orientation said he got a call back the same day.

    chief890 Thanks this.
