There are lots of threads on this on here, a quick search will bring up tons of them.
Youre not going to find a company that will allow you to have a firearm in their truck in my opinion and I have yet to see anyone post a company that will.
Even if you did find one that would allow one on their truck how would you insure that you would be legal in every jurisdiction that you go to? Your CPL/CCW is only good for the jurisdiction that you got it in.
Then there is the issue with shippers and receivers not allowing firearms on their premises. They do have the right to forbid them on their property no matter what permit you have.pattyj Thanks this. -
there only 10 states that do not honor my CPL and i have a list of them and a few major citiesTonythetruckerdude Thanks this.

So youre going to find a company that doesnt go to those states, cities, military bases, ports, airports, or private shipper/receivers that fobid them?
Good luck with that. -
nope was just curious on how many companies honor them is all.mje Thanks this.

I have a CHL. My company does not allow me to carry in my truck. I was dissappointed, but I understand. But Ubu is right, there are too many places that will not allow firearms on their property, and I am not going to jeapordize my job over this issue. Anyways, I have a perfectly good cheater bar!
cgonzales/510, pattyj and mje Thank this. -
I dont think that it is really a matter of companies honoring them; it is just the reality of the world we live in.
It is kind of strange and sad that exercising your right to carry is more of a restriction then a freedom.mje, jxu417 and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
I think, its against the fed. regs, to have one in a commercial vehicle.
-
Join the police. They let you carry a weapon.

There is no Fed regulation banning a firearm in a commercial motor vehicle. FMCSR does not have any language in it pertaining to firearms.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2mje Thanks this.
