When I put the jake on at 1300 rpm or more for 1-2 seconds there will be a vibration, then it goes away as the jake is fully engaged and making manifold pressure. Any rpm below 1300 and it does not do this. The jake sounds normal and appears to be working on all stages. BXS Acert, overhead was last ran May of 2012 with 84,343 miles since then. Any ideas?

did they check the rocker bolts to see if any were broke? my buddy had the same vibration right before the front rocker assembly punched up through the valve cover! wasnt pretty.

Yeah...I would check those!! Just had the rocker bolt drama on one of ours....not fun!

May need to run the jakes again...who did overhead?? I know they shouldn't be out but it wouldn't hurt to run them while checking rocker bolts...wouldn't take long and could rule that out.

If all that checks out mine had a "lazy" jake solenoid.(BSX) Kind of acted like it was going thru all the stages (1-2-3). My mech found it running the overhead. Don't recall exactly how he found it but it had something to do with voltage. I think he saw it in the ECM when he was checking for codes, I'll call him if you need me to I should be back later tonite or early in the morning.

P.S. you still liking the BD?

Cat did the overhead, I will get it back in when I get home so they can take a look at it, its not throwing any codes. Still happy with the BD.

oscar, i hope ya find out what it is. my mxs does the exact same thing. i replaced wiring harnesses{both of them} ran the over head, i already done all the iva solenoids......it just feels ugly on stage one or two, but when all three are one its fine......good luck.

when I had that weird vibration on mine it ended up being a cracked rocker assemble and the solenoid threads were stripped, ended up costing me 1800.00
