I believe when the parking brakes are released it over rides the idle shut down. So you shouldn't have a problem while sitting in traffic.

Driver side frame rail zip tied to the air line near the #3 air bag is where it should be. The sensor in the picture is the factory installed ambient air temp sensor.
-
incorrect. If the sensor is hooked up properly(properly being the key) the only thing that will over ride the sensor to keep the engine shutting off is to push the clutch down to the floor.

So here I sit for a 34 reset and the inside power keeps shuting off, no lights and no way to run my c-pap my c-pap machine, any suggestions ? Unless I stay up allnight restarting this truck.
-
call dispatch, tell them you can't run your cpap because your batteries are dead. Then tell them you need a hotel and they need to pay for it.
-
Mine will idle all night with the tractor break released.
-
Then it isn't hooked up right(like mine isn't)
-
I won't tell on you if you don't tell on me. Hahajakecat22 Thanks this.

still shuts off with just the trailer brake on have to keep pushing in the clutch to reset it. spoke to SEM need to get a load to my O.C and get this fixed they need to redo the shutoff time for the power outlets and put in a small power inverter for the c-pap , one more night with out it will be ok I am well above the compliance requirement. just a pain in the neck having to restart and idle the truck a couple of times a day while sitting i got up this morning and the low voltage light came on.they to get a hotel room but don't feel like going through the hassel and getting reimbursed
