Gotta get down to Atlanta and need to run US78 am fairly familiar with it but hate that last stretch where it kicks you off onto the city streets with lights and traffic before ending up at the pilot. on google maps it shows you could theoretically run to coalburg road cr77 and then down to sayreton road/ 41st ave and to the flying j off i65, i have never done this way before and dont know that this is possible in a big truck. any one more familiar with the area know if there is a better way then running the old way down the pilot to the big road? is this other way spitting you out at the J allowed?
thanks

It says no trucks beyond that exit going east so I guess there's some sort of restriction between the end of the freeway and I65.

I will sure be glad when they finish that last stretch over to I65.
flightwatch, SGTSmokdU, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think 2014 is when that interchange will open. Now, if only Mississippi would get that I-269 finished to bypass Lamar over to I-55.

Just run to the Pilot and go that way, it's about the easiest till they get it finished.

shame hoping there was something i didnt know having not been through recently but i guess i'll have to suck up that last 10 or 15 crap miles with this heavy load.thanks guys

Nah. The signs tell you to get off there on AL5 to the Pilot. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

Is there still a lane restriction in Adamsville that the police watch pretty hard?

There are signs that say trucks use right lane, not sure how well they enforce it. I have to get out in the left lane to get by some slower traffic, but get right back over just in case the lawdogs are watching.
