The engine is shot. There's a big tear in one of the pistons. At this point what happens from here depends on what cummins wants to do and what the company wants to do. I won't know #### until tomorrow. What I do know is I'm really ####### tired of getting jerked around.

By the way, in case any of you have ever been near Clovis and wondered who the guys in the blue Peterbilts are.... http://reynoldsnw.com/

Ive waited at ojs for a couple different companies..but always waited longer with the river.
They dont pay u detention so why should they care?!
After all fuel is only $4/gallon..so idle away its cheaper than paying the driver. -

They're giving me another truck. Apparently I'm going to be picked up here at the motel by a driver who has his truck in the shop and he's going to drive both of us to wherever his truck is. Then he's going to get in his truck and I'm gonna take the truck he's picking me up in. Then I have to go to the Pete dealer where my truck is and get all my crap out of it.

Sounds confusing act, and time consuming too.... good luck!!

So im thinking of joining indian river and a recruiter told me it would be .35 a mile to start and run CA,OR,WA... does this seem to happen? also what are the trucks like? 10 spds? curious on everyones take and how really regional they are. I dont mind running all 48 though. also she told me that you basically just show up adn the customer unloads and loads you? i dont have tanker experience so this is all new to me
Logan76 Thanks this. -
Ruger, if your hauling cream and juices alot of times the customer loads and unloads, i haul sugar and corn syrup for a small outfit in PA and you pump it off but thats easy to do aswell....i like tanker work its easy as pie.

You will never ever have to unload anything yourself at Indian river. Absolutely nothing. All shippers and receivers load and unload your tank. All you do is drive. One thing I can tell you is that you will never get home when you ask to be home. I'm due to be home tomorrow but I'm in jersey picking up juice in the morning and going to Pembroke ny. You do not get paid to wait. If you have to wait an entire day for some reason you will not get a penny for your time.

Trucks look nice but looks are always deceiving at IRT. You will spend lots of time in the shop. If your truck is in a company shop, you will be there a long time and nothing will actually get fixed, which will lead to your truck breaking down on the road somewhere. Any break downs on the road require a minimum of one week of down time. You will be paid 40.00 a day and this only kicks in after you've been down 48 hours. The miles are great but that doesn't matter much because your truck will be in the shop so much that you won't get to do much driving.
