I was at Weyco Longview a couple months back and a rookie walked into the wrong control booth and started raising another drivers truck while he was trying to uncouple the trailer on the short dump #1.
It picked up his tractor by the trailer kingpin and did quite a bit of damage before they got it back down, brand new Lemmons Trucking Pete.
Saw another new driver on one of the main dumps forget to shut the engine off before raising her up,can you say engine damage lol.

well trained all last week I'm on my own this week so far so good, sure is a good change of pace coming from chemicals, so you're still in an auto shifter? I'm working grave so I'm left with whatever's left so far been pretty decent trucks and trailers. the newest truck my other job had was an 06 Mack ,anyway maybe I'll see you around

I haul chips ......from the kitchen cupboard to the couch now....lol. Back when I hauled wood chips the DOT just loved seeing those few loose chips that would fall from trailer after leaving the mill. Cha ching $$$

Yeah on nights ya drive what's available, you been driving a 700 series autoshift truck or 800-900 series Allison automatics?
I dove 882 for a while on nights when it was a new truck,I was the first to pull a load with it,lots to like on those Allison autos and the newer trucks have better seats but dealing with adding DEF is a PITA if you drive from a small yard like I do where it's not available.
Don't like the safety feature that cuts throttle and applies brakes on corners if it thinks you're a little too fast lol,I do like the disc brakes though, they stop nice.
I liked the older 600 trucks but most are gone now,I drove one for a while at night, had electric windows a ten speed stick, lots of storage cubbies and wing windows and door vents.
I've ben in 749 for about a week, dropped a u-joint in 779 but I should be getting her back from Troutdale this week sometime.
So where have you been so far?

I like that run down to Toledo despite the hills,it's just nice to cruise the PCH 101 along the beaches.:yes2557:
Of course it's nicer during the day lol.
