Yea, it's most likely the HT-300. The first UBL (under beam lift) I bought was around $500. The last two I got I had installed by Mac trailer when they added 2 more axles to a flat and the bill showed them as $300 each. However if you have some fab skills they're pretty easy to make.

If you could buy one already done for $300 I wouldn't mess with making one. The bags were around $80 each (you need 2) and a little bit of steel. Takes about an hour to weld one on, pretty simple. I'll put some pics in a few.

Do some shopping, there WAS a new kit on ebay and it sold for $250

 

Do some research on laws in your area first, or check with your trailer manufacturer. You will need to also use a special valve to inflate this kit. We use Sealco 13800, but I believe Holland or Ride-Well have options too. Reason is to lift axle the Ride bags must deflate. Also when you load the axle Must come down! We have Hendrickson HT 230 and are using UBL 001 kit and Sealco 13800 combo, works great. It cost us around $1000. Per axle. Good to have if you put on alot of empty miles.

Mac's factory service center installed the two complete lift axles on my East. They're in Alliance Ohio but I wouldn't pay anyone just to install the lift kit. It's really simple the one I installed my self took about an hour to do.

Since he's not in Canada he doesn't need any of those auto valves.

Bean Farms you can control the lift however you choose, Electric, air, from the truck or only from the trailer or even both. All you need is a "4 way external pilot valve". They come as 12v control, air control or both.

This one is both, meaning you can control the axle from the cab or from the trailer.


They're around $150. Or you can do it with two solenoid valves.

 

I hope I am doing this correctly. I know this is an older thread. I am going to order a UBL001 tomorrow for a sack lunch under $500. The valve/fitting/line/electrical kit is an additional $500. Is the additional kit something I can piece together myself for say half that price? I am not concerned about in cab nor electrically actuating the bags. I am perfectly ok with manually turning a switch.
