Yeah, the flatbeds can carry more weight... 47,000 lbs on my trailer would get me a one way ticket to Overweightsville lol.

I will have to do the student program and go out with a trainer. I haven't been otr in a awhile, been driving local. Are there good trainers here? What is the net pay during trining? Just trying to figure out if I can keep my bills paid.
-
After taxes the $550 training pay got me a total of $338.03. No advances taken so that's all of it.
RoadHungryTrucker Thanks this. -
$162 in taxes? That seems awful high... although I take the per diem option here, which gives me a lot more money on each paycheck, but I don't get that big refund at the end of the year that a lot of drivers do.
My check today was $1281.27 with 86.89 in federal tax, 12.02 for Medicare, and 51.39 for social security. -
Is the $1281.27 gross or net? Thanks
-
Gross. My net was $1043 and some change, but aside from taxes I have med insurance, voluntary life, disability, etc
