Good point, perhaps a solid 3 years at your current job in addition to your 2 years at college will give you more of an "edge" in reference to a stable job history.

    Good Luck!

God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!

Why not just get your record expunged?

    mje Thanks this.

Having it expunged isn't the same as having relief of disability... having it expunged only keeps it from being readily available to the public. It can still be found by the appropriate agencies.

    mje Thanks this.

But what cheapskate company is ever going to pay for that? None of them.

I'd want to hear the story and take a drive with the guy. Barring nothing obvious, I'd hire him. Being at odds with one of my idiot brothers myself I understand at least part of where he's been.

Can not get them expunged in this state. The first thing I did was ask around at lawyers and research it.

A lot of companies don't even ask about misdemeanors. Heck, I've worked for several companies that either waited months to even ask to see my CDL or never asked at all. Just keep hunting around and you'll find something. The better companies to work for don't run permanent ads, by the way.

In my last job I pre-screened the apps when people filled them out or faxed them in. You would NEVER have made it past me!
Sorry to be so blunt but thats the way it is. Save your money and don't even bother going to a cdl school.

Getting my CDL isn't even a question. My dad drove truck until his death in '95 and I've always dreamed of getting my CDL. If no one ever hires me at least I accomplished that and I'll be happy about it.
