    PLT:
just go get a job driving for somebody already, will you? Please?

I'm not leased to LS but I've learned that not all O/O fit with every company. You need to keep looking if its not working where you are. Most people that own their own truck run it "like a business" instead of "run a business." There is a huge difference and apparently you haven't learned it. That doesn't make you a lesser person, just one who probably shouldn't own a business.

BUT if you are expecting free anything from anybody or looking at someone else's profits with feelings of injustice being done toward you nobody can help you.

If you want that Commie in the White House to level the playing field, be careful what you ask for because it will level off at the LOWEST common denominator. And it will be WAY lower than what you expect.

    camaro68 and LSAgentOZR Thank this.

same in this thread as ours, its never there fault or their decisions its always the company.

ive been movin freight since '88.all the ltl, dbls, tanks, refers, straights, flats and now stepdeck all have the down side somewhere.if you are under the thumb of a DISPATCHER'in any situation you have no control of the situation, therfore are 't' totally SCREWED.we would all love to make more than our individual contract percentage but having the freedom to NOT deal with a jerk in control of my life, time, money,career,etc..is priceless.i wish i found ls back in 96 when i bought my 1st trk.like the other dude said "one size does NOT fit all".they have messed up my settlement once or twice, then fixed it.mistakes happen.until they force me out,its the best thing going for me..

Nah, we're not that big.... :biggrin_25517:

No, we don't ALL do it. You have a chance to succeed, you live in America and are free do go and do as you choose. The mileage is automatically rand mcnally. If they put the actual miles in "Bill As" it will show the correct miles. Your truckstop talk about Landstar pushing driver's out is ludicrous. You're a cut above a company driver, act like it.

    Excellent question!

    Yeeeep. Love the contradiction.

Rumor has it that Corporate is determined to get rid of all the BCO trucks and go strictly brokerage. This is why they are now spending thousands of dollars on recruitment advertising, both magazine and radio and are offering free classes to BCOs on how to improve their businesses, within the LS system. Stay tuned!
